Having some 500 species, this medicinal succulent grows abundantly in tropical climates. This plant can be harvested and used to provide a rich source of antioxidants that protect the skin. Aloes love full-sun outdoors, and bright indirect light inside the home. They tolerate drought, so water once a month when the soil is completely dry.
